Welcome to Colors Explained! I’m Bruna, a Brazilian-born Dutch content strategist who is passionate about colors. As you might have imagined, I founded this incredible website.
Colors Explained began in the fall of 2019 as a creative outlet and research-based collection of articles about the science, psychology, and symbolism of colors.
Colors and their meanings have always been fascinating for me since my childhood.
Colors, like features, follow the changes of the emotions.

Bruna grew up in Brazil using her father’s paint to create what she calls abstract art on her bedroom’s walls. Her mother didn’t quite agree, though.
Still, Bruna was always absorbed by how colors would influence people’s moods and actions. By how people would react subconsciously to the change in the seasons and surrounding landscapes.
Well, that curiosity and insatiable interest in colors held up for years, and it is still going on strong.
Today, Bruna works designing online brands and websites from top to bottom. Not only that, but she also learned about Psychology of Colors, Branding Colors, and more with the world-renowned Hawaii University teacher and color psychologist Jill Morton.
That’s why she is convinced she can open a colorful world of information and color theory for you.
